Cape Kiwanda View - "Kayak Kiwanda"

from $55.00

A lone kayaker braves the sea at sunset near the shore of the magical Cape Kiwanda. This image is my personal favorite image in either of the collections, not only because of the fabulous result, but because of the day that came before it. My partner and I spent the fall day cataloging the Pacific Ocean Shores of Pacific City and Cape Kiwanda. I remember thinking all day that Oregon truly is a landscape photographers dream, not only because of the striking coastline, but because of the conditions. The conditions were simply perfect.

In this image, I love the scale created by the Kayaker. The kayaker is seemingly alone in the vast ocean and is methodically plodding his way through. In my mind, the kayaker represents us all on the journey through the ocean of life. I love this photograph because of how it makes me feel. It looks great printed big because of how vast the ocean feels in comparison to the kayaker and the contrasting warm and cool tones look great in any room.

I would be honored if you purchased a piece of my art for your home or office. And, if you want to learn the skills you need to capture and edit images like this one, please check out my Oregon Photography Classes
